Nowadays is undisputably seen as the origin country of tea. Already 5000 years B.C. the pleasant effect of the tea leaves was known there.
Numerous legends exist about the ultimate detection of tea.
One of the legends leads back to the year 2737 B.C. This legend relates to the imperator Shen-Nung, who had drunk boiled water because of hygienic reasons.
Someday a leaf of a tea bough wafted from his cooking pit into the hot water and gave a golden colour to it. The imperator tried this accidental creation and recognised a delightful vitalising and refreshing flavour. Henceforth tea was detected.
During the glamourous T’ang dynasty tea had become a widely spread trading good. Tea was no longer reserved only to the upper class and priests, all social classes found access to this popular drink.
